What’s Your Favourite Tea?

To be honest, I’m not a huge tea fan, in fact I find it annoying as I associate it with being ill. I have been waking up with a sore throat lately and figure tea will help and the only tea I actually enjoy is Sleepytime. I am a sucker for packaging and that bear, that dang bear gets me every time. He looks so relaxed and happy and in some versions he has a cat! This is what caught my attention in the first place.

Here’s the old packaging:

Here’s the new packaging:

I love that it’s caffeine free, as I don’t really like black tea as I prefer to relax with tea as much as possible and it’s really a smooth simple tea.

Here are the ingredients: Chamomile, spearmint, West Indian lemongrass, tilia flowers, blackberry leaves, orange blossoms, hawthorn and rosebuds.

Of course the tea is gluten free and clearly vegan, I would be grossed out if tea somehow contained an animal product, but these days you never know.

Some people take their tea with milk, but I never was one to do so, nor honey/sugar, I just like it as is. Funny how people have their customs, they must have some kind of ritual, perhaps a favourite cup they use. I did recently buy an Alice in Wonderland tea cup:

I love this cup and it looks like it’s a normal size, but it’s really rather large. On the other side is a black and white drawing of “Alice”.  I also bought the matching saucer and adore this cup. If I don’t like something, at least I can do it in style. I will pretend to be a lady while drinking tea, despite hating it, and hopefully one day I will enjoy tea for fun.

  1. I am in your camp. As much as I try, I just do not like tea. Coffee is a whole other story, though!!!
