It’s funny where a gluten free mix will show up, of all places, I found King Arthur Gluten Free mix in Winners. This particular mix is vanilla and requires add-ins.
I added a few things to mine:
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped chopped unsalted peanuts
- 1/2 cup Enjoy Life! chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Gluten Free Rice Chex
- 1 serving of President’s Choice Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce
I followed the mix directions and used Canola oil instead of butter and added Almond milk instead of cow’s milk. I don’t have a muffin tin, instead, I have muffin cups. I made two batched of muffin and the first one I scooped 3/4 worth of batter into the cup and the muffin came out relatively flat.
The second batch, I tried to use all the batter and this resulted in oversized muffins, which, I think look much nicer than these flat tops.
I would definitely use this mix again! I really enjoyed the texture of the Gluten Free Rice Chex, a bit crunchy and the peanuts were tasty as well, not to mention the chocolate chips. I wish I had added more cinnamon.

is pc organic unsweetened apple sauce gluten free
There is no sticker or mention on the label, but we trust it as there are only two ingredients. Mat has not had a reaction to this apple sauce.
